45Mil and 60 Mil White TPO Roofing
Discover the durability of our 45Mil TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin) roofing material, designed to withstand various weather conditions. The robust construction provides excellent UV resistance and longevity, making it a smart choice for your residential or commercial roofing projects.
Sizes from 15-25 ft can ship in a 36x38x38 box or if you prefer, on a roll. 30ft and longer must ship on a 10ft roll.
How to Apply TPO Rubber Roofing
- Clean the roof surface of all debris and nails. Re-fasten any loose roof boards.
- Fill any gaps larger than 3/8” inch with wooden strips. The TPO cannot span gaps of more than 3/8″ without risk of possible adhesion issues.
- Start at the bottom of the roof and roll out the TPO from one side of the roof to the other and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Fold bottom half of the membrane onto the top half of the in place membrane.
- Apply the bonding adhesive to the exposed roof deck and NOT to the TPO membrane as the adhesive is to be applied as a one surface WET LAMINATE using a notched trowel to spread the adhesive in a pattern over the decking. Slowly fold the TPO roofing membrane back into place while the adhesive is tacky and moist, and NOT still totally wet. This takes 10 to 15 minutes normally depending on your weather conditions. Please be aware NOT to lay the TPO into WET adhesive but damp and tacky. To ensure adhesive transfer and a good bond, use a stiff bristled push broom and force the membrane into contact with the adhesive on the roof deck.
- Repeat the process on the other half of the TPO membrane.
